Leticia Remauro Steps Down as Community Board 1 Chairwoman After Years of Service to Staten Island Community

In February 2015, after several years of serving as the chairwoman of Community Board 1 on Staten Island, Leticia Remauro stepped down from her position in order to focus on her business, The Von Agency.

“I have an opportunity in front of me that I’m going to pursue that will take up a lot of my time,” she said.

“If I have to look back on my service with Community Board 1, the largest projects that occurred under my chairmanship is the reuse of the U.S. Navy pier (Stapleton home port), Empire Outlets and the N.Y. Wheel, the resurrection of Lighthouse point with a lighthouse museum, and the Lenape Indian Greenway Heritage Trail,” she added.
